Location

The AH&MRC – Aboriginal Health College operates from a state of the art purpose built facility at Little Bay, set in spectacular park-like grounds with views that look out onto the Pacific ocean.

State of the Art

The AHC building consists of three floors and provides an Auditorium, five training rooms, a library, commercial kitchen, disabled access, lift, limited undercover parking, ample street parking.

Facilities

Ground Level

  • The ground level offers a large foyer.
  • A 180 seats Auditorium equipped with state of the art audio visual equipment including video teleconferencing & recording, 2 x cordless microphones, 2 lapel microphones etc.
  • Meals area which could seat up to 200 people.
  • Commercial kitchen – not equipped with cooking utensils and crockery & cutlery
  • Toilets including disabled facilities
  • An outdoor area which can also be used for gatherings, serving meals etc.

Level 1

  • 2 Class Rooms, each provided with a Smart Board, laptop (with required Smart software), flip charts & white boards – one is equipped with an eye examination chair and eye chart used for training purposes– see chart for various seating options and capacity.
  • 2 clinics, including basic clinic equipment, one with an examination bed, a Tympanometry and an Otoscope, used for training purposes.
  • Library including 12 terminals connected to the internet, printer & copier
  • Toilets including disabled facilities
  • The College administration offices including reception.

Level 2

  • 3 Class Rooms including the Board Room which is larger than the other 2 rooms, each provided with a Smart Board, laptop (with required Smart software), flip charts & white boards – one is equipped with various medical body modules & charts, used for training purposes– see chart for various seating options and capacity.
  • Toilets including disabled facilities
  • Manager, Team Leader and teacher’s offices
